January 18th UPDATE: Our January 13th pack day was very successful! With the help of about 100 volunteers including local Marines and Marine spouses, we packed 800 care packages full of comfort items for the Marines and loaded them into a truck to be shipped from Columbia, Missouri.
We would like to thank ALL that came out and supported us, as well as everyone who donated content or shipping funds. Your contributions are still crucial to our upcoming pack day on January 22nd!

January 12th UPDATE: The tent is up, the tables are set, our banners are hung, the product has been lined up! We had familes and Marines from Parris Island on site all day to get this together. We're ready to pack the boxes tomorrow (Thursday, January 13) with the film crew from ABC's Extreme Makeover Home Edition during the Dickinson Family Makeover. Click for a slideshow of our progress.
January 11th UPDATE: We weren't able to disclose this until today, but.......
The Care Package Project Will be Assembling Care Packages on Extreme Makeover Home Edition Thursday, January 13th!
The extreme care packages we have been talking about for weeks will actually be featured on the TV show Extreme Makeover Home Edition! ABC will be shooting footage of Marine Parents and the Care Package Project assembling care packages in Beaufort, South Carolina in conjunction with the demolition and rebuilding of a home.
The footage will be included in an episode in which EMHE rebuilds a house for a deployed Marine and his family who reside in Beaufort.
Marine Parents representatives are on-site now getting things ready for the big packing event. Due to bad weather conditions, our experienced staff from the office are not there, but that won't stop us from our mission. We have plenty of support there including Marines and spouses from Parris Island. A special thanks goes out to them for their help as well as Tracie Brookshire, SgtMaj Matt Brookshire's wife, who has taken on this event since we are not able to be there. We will adapt and overcome as we have learned to do as Marine parents!
Though ABC and Extreme Makeover Home Edition invited us to participate in this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, we still have to fund all content and shipping costs, as well the cost of bringing the items and boxes to and from South Carolina.
That is where our CPP 2.0 Campaign comes in! We are funding TWO care package events this month, which means more deployed Marines are able to receive care packages. We have to expend much more than usual to make these events happen. If you can donate ANY amount to our CPP 2.0 Campaign, please visit our donation page here.
The Marines appreciate your extra support! Be sure to check out the EMHE episode to air sometime this spring!
We're doing care packages to the EXTREME!
